Also the PTA would like for anyone who helps out in the classrooms and needs training in the work room to come to a training on Tuesday December 11th at 3:30. If you use the copy machines or any machine in the work room we ask that please attend this training. We are trying to minimize the problems with the machines.

Box tops

Start saving those box tops! Contest coming up soon. Please cut out the box tops if you can and please don't staple them. Box tops help give money for our school so please save them for us.

A great big thank you to Lorri Ann Moore for accepting the nomination to be the President Elect. The nominating committee for next year's board members will be meeting soon so please comment on this post if you are interested in serving.

Fall Carnival is today!

Harvest Elementary Fall Carnival is today from 4-7pm. Bring your box tops to exchange for tickets. Money will be accepted as well. It will be located in the field behind the school. See you there!

Fall Carnival

Fall Carnival is this Friday, Oct. 19 from 4-7 pm. Fill out the pre-order form sent home last week and get discounted tickets. Box tops will also be accepted for payment. Pizza or all-beef hot dog, chips, and drink - $2 or 8 tickets. Lots of games, bounce houses, races, face painting, and so much more. Lots of items for sale at the silent auction. So. Much. Fun!!!!

5th grade donut date

The 5th grade donut date is Friday, October 5 at 9:15 am.

Fall Carnival is coming!

Mark your calendars!!! Harvest PTA's Fall Carnival is Friday, October 19 from 4-7pm. We could still use donations of goods or services to the silent auction. If you are interested in helping, there are planning meetings in the conference room at the school every Friday at 11:30am.

We are looking for volunteers to donate goods and/or services for our silent auction at theFall Festival on Oct. 19. Please post here or get in touch with a PTA board member if you can help us out. Thank you!!!

Back To School night is today!

There will be a general PTA Meeting that we encourage all the parents to attend that will go from 6:00-6:30. It is your chance to meet the faculty as a whole as well as approve this years budget for the PTA! It will also give you a chance to sign up for PTA and support all the wonderful things that the PTA does for our school. We will then have 3 breakout sessions for you to attend. They will run from 6:40-7:00. 7:05-7:25. 7:30-7:50. Please come to your child's classroom and learn what your child's curriculum will be this year. We encourage you to leave your children at home so that it will give you an opportunity to listen without too many distractions, and ask the questions that you have. If your child is in Dual Immersion, those teachers will be doing their breakout sessions together to minimize how many sessions you will need to attend.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We are in need of volunteers to help out with our Vision Screening!
Wednesday, Sept. 26th staring at 9:15. We will continue until we are done.
You can come the entire time, a couple hours, or just 1 hour.
Due to the nature of the testing, no additional children will be allowed. (Maybe trade with a neighbor!)

Take Home Reading Library needs you!!!

Serve your children and the school by working in the Take Home Reading Library!!
• The Take Home Reading Library provides children with a new book to take home every day that is on their reading level.
• Volunteers Can:
• Spend only 10-15 minute time commitment per crate
• Bring your younger children with you (we have toys!)
• Come whenever works best for your schedule between the hours of 9:30 am -Noon
• Kindergarten times are different depending on track
• We will have a meeting to help train you. It’s easy!

Kindergarten Registration and Book Fair Help

We are still in need of help for book fair and kindergarten reg.

If you can help tuesday from 9am-2pm let me know, remember if you have a child going into kindergarten and you help you get priority!!!!

I also need help for book fair from 2-4 tues and wednes and 2-6 on thurs and friday
